I was fortunate enough to have taken his class when I started telling stories around the city. I learned, among other things, how to properly craft stories and to feel more confident and natural on the stage. Not to mention the fact that I became close friends with the other storytellers taking his class.

Someone said to me that teaching the skills of storytelling to the Irish is "like bringing snow to the Arctic or sand to the Sahara," but not all Irish adults feel at home 'on stage'. With encouragement, perseverance, tact, and skill, Scott brought the students to discover for themselves a new talent, new competencies, and new awareness of themselves. As the tutor to the class, I was aware of the personalities 'going in' and, therefore, even more of the personality changes that were remarkable.
